Jayesh Rajpurohit: ย The inspiration for Brick&Bolt stemmed from the glaring inefficiencies and disorganized practices we observed in the construction industry.
Customers often face unnecessary hurdles, whether building a home or taking on an individual project. We saw an opportunity to solve these challenges by integrating technology with streamlined processes.
Our vision was to revolutionize every stage of the construction journeyโfrom finding reliable partners to providing robust project management tools and ensuring quality materialsโcreating a seamless, transparent experience for customers. Indiaโs construction sector, a $400 billion industry poised to reach $1.4 trillion by 2034, remains 80% unorganized.
With rapid urbanization and evolving socio-economic trends, such as a shift toward independent living, there is a growing demand for accessible housing solutions. However, affordability and quality are often compromised in unorganized sectors, leaving mid-income families with limited options.
The gap in the market, combined with personal experiences, inspired the creation of Brick & Bolt. Living in unorganized rental spaces in Bangalore underscored the pressing need for a platform that seamlessly combines affordability with quality.

Jayesh Rajpurohit: At Brick&Bolt, technology is the foundation of our vision to revolutionize the construction industry. We have established ourselves as pioneers in tech-enabled construction by addressing inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and trust issues.
A standout innovation is our ESCROW-based payment system, a first in the industry. This ensures customer payments are released in stages, tied to predefined project milestones. It safeguards funds, builds trust, and ensures accountability by linking payments to tangible progress and quality standards.
We have also set benchmarks with price transparency, eliminating hidden charges. Customers have complete cost visibility from the start, making the process transparent and instilling confidence throughout the journey.
Quality assurance is central to our operations. Our proprietary QASCON (Quality Assurance in Construction) system, trademarked in India, ensures high standards through 470+ quality checks at every stage. Powered by technology, these checks enable stringent monitoring and quick resolution of issues.
To streamline processes, we have developed over 16 dedicated apps for design approvals, contractor coordination, real-time project tracking, and quality assurance. These tools allow customers to track progress, view timelines, and receive updates, making the construction journey interactive and hassle-free.
Understanding that construction is both a technical and emotional journey, weโve introduced experience centers in major cities. These centers allow customers to explore design options, visualize floor plans, and understand the stage-wise payment process, bridging the gap between technology and human interaction.

Jayesh Rajpurohit: At Brick&Bolt, while we have successfully executed thousands of projects over the past seven years, one initiative that stands out and holds a special place in my heart is ALFAA: Assisted Living for Autistic Adults in Karnataka.
This 30,000 sq. ft. facility is a testament to how purposeful infrastructure can positively impact lives. Designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for neurodiverse individuals, ALFAA combines advanced construction technology with thoughtful design.
From sensory-focused interiors and eco-friendly materials to adaptive accessibility features, every aspect of the facility has been crafted to cater to the unique needs of its residents.
It is not just a buildingโit is a vision brought to life, showcasing how innovation in construction can go beyond functionality to create spaces that truly serve a higher purpose. This project encapsulates what Brick&Bolt stands for: delivering excellence while making a meaningful difference.
How do you handle competition in the rapidly growing construction-tech space, and what is your approach to staying ahead of emerging trends?
Jayesh Rajpurohit: In the rapidly growing construction-tech space, competition is inevitable, but what sets us apart is our commitment to making construction more predictable and transparent for our customers.
We understand the challenges homeowners face when it comes to managing costs, timelines, and quality, and we are actively working to address these concerns through innovative solutions.
One of the key initiatives we are excited about is the upcoming launch of our Construction Cost Estimator, a tool that will empower customers with accurate and reliable cost forecasts, helping them plan their projects with confidence.
Additionally, we are introducing our Signature Collection, a standardized design for homes to ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality at every stage of construction.
At Brick & Bolt, we believe in continuous improvement and staying ahead of emerging trends by constantly evolving our processes. By leveraging technology and focusing on transparency, we aim to redefine the construction experience and build customer trust.
The construction industry is often seen as traditional and slow to adopt new technologies. What challenges have you faced in trying to introduce tech-driven solutions, and how have you addressed them?
Jayesh Rajpurohit: The construction industryโs traditional mindset and slow adoption of technology have been significant challenges. Many stakeholders were skeptical of moving away from manual processes. To overcome this, we prioritized education and transparency.
We introduced digital project tracking, 470+ quality checks, and an ESCROW-based payment system to demonstrate tangible benefits.
Additionally, we established experience centers in various cities to provide hands-on insights into our tech-driven approach. These centers serve as platforms to engage and educate customers, showcasing how technology enhances efficiency, transparency, and quality in construction projects.
What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to make a mark in the tech-driven construction or startup world?
Jayesh Rajpurohit: My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs in the tech-driven construction or startup world is to focus on solving real problems with innovation and a customer-first approach. In the construction industry, there are still many inefficiencies and pain points that technology can address.
Identify these gaps, whether it is in cost management, timelines, or quality control, and find ways to bring transparency and predictability to the process.
It is also crucial to stay adaptable and continuously learn. The tech space, especially in construction, is evolving rapidly, it is important to keep an eye on emerging trends and be willing to pivot when necessary. Build a strong team around you, because no great idea can succeed without the right people driving it forward.
Finally, never underestimate the power of persistence. The road to success in any startup is filled with challenges, but it is the ability to persevere through setbacks and maintain a long-term vision that ultimately separates successful entrepreneurs from the rest.
